One might be shocked to know that the number of patients who suffer from the ailment of thyroid cancer is increasing rapidly at present. The reason for this is said to be the increased intake of fertility drugs by women.

As a matter of fact, the cases of thyroid cancer are said to be highest in women who take such drugs as compared to the ones who do not. Thus, there arises a necessity to know more in this regard and look for the right alternatives for such harmful drugs.

One of the therapists, named Belinda Wurn, has claimed to find a natural method of fertility treatment. After several studies were conducted, it has been proven that this method is greatly effective in providing solutions and this has been certified by various organizations too.

As per the study, it has been proven that about 71 percent of women, who were termed incapable of giving birth, have seen results in no time. While some of them already gave birth, the rest were said to be pregnant. This is good news as it allows women to avoid fertility drugs.
It has also been stated that in women who underwent IVF (In vitro fertilization) treatment after this therapy, the success rate was 67 percent as against 41 percent in woman who went through the normal process. This data was made available by CDC and ASRM which are highly reputed and trustworthy sources.

The success of this therapy lay in the fact that this kind of treatment was successful in opening the fallopian tubes that otherwise seemed impossible without a surgery. Here too, out of the women in whom the tubes opened successfully, 61 percent went on to give child birth.

Use natural methods of treatment to avoid thyroid cancer

With <a href="http://www.myhealthtoday.com/a-to-z/cancer/"title="thyroid cancer" target="_blank">thyroid cancer being feared in women who use fertility drugs, the good news is that with natural methods of therapy for fertility, the scenario can be improved greatly. The impact of the above mentioned medicine was so great that the organization, ‘miracle mom’ was formed. There have been many cases of people who have given child birth in spite of having been diagnosed infertile.

One example in this regard is that of a woman named, Belinda. She was treated for cervical cancer and the solution was said to be pelvic surgery. However, the pain showed up again and Belinda was told that the pain was due to adhesion that resulted from the surgery. The only solution to this was said to be surgery and this would increase the pulling sensation in the pelvic even more.

It was after this that the therapy and the studies in this regard began. After cases of thyroid cancer were reported, people started showing more interest in this method of drug free therapy, that was made available to them.

Treatment via drug free therapy avoids thyroid cancer

The therapist in this method studies the history of the patient and depending on how her body responds to the treatment uses the method of applying pressure to certain body parts where adhesion is said to have happened. Thus, with time, the affected parts of the body start responding to the treatment thereby returning to normal functioning and mobility.

Patients reported that they were able to get relief from pain that was chronic in nature prior to the treatment. Thus, it is advisable that people stay away from fertility drugs and consequently from thyroid cancer.

Ectopic pregnancy or extrauterine pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg attaches in a place other than the womb. Unlike normal pregnancy, when the egg grows inside the womb, the ectopic pregnancy results when it attaches in other places like the fallopian tube.

The impregnated egg passes through the fallopian tube to the womb. But when the fallopian tube is damaged, its passage is hindered and it attaches and grows inside it. This phenomenon is known as ectopic pregnancy. Invariably it occurs in the fallopian tubes. But in some rare instances, the fertilized egg can attach in the cervix, ovary or the belly. The growth of the egg in the fallopian tube can lead to its bursting which may result in profuse bleeding and other complications. So, immediate medical attention should be sought if you suspect it.

Factors responsible for ectopic pregnancy

Smoking – Smoking increases the chances of ectopic pregnancy.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) – Diseases like chlamydia and gonorrhea can lead to it.

Endometroid heterotopia – Scarring results in the uterine tubes.

Frequent medical termination of pregnancy.

Exposure to chemical DES prior to birth.

Symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of ectopic pregnancy

Sever pain in the pelvis, abdomen or even in the upper part of the body like the shoulder and neck can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. It can often be one-sided and is be associated with debility, fainting and internal hemorrhage, warranting immediate medical help.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy is done by physical examination of abdomen and ultrasound and pathological test of the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin).

Treatment

Surgery is the normal option for the treatment of ectopic <a href="http://www.myhealthtoday.com/a-to-z/pregnancy/"title="ectopic pregnancy" target="_blank">pregnancy. Now-a-days, it is mostly done through laparoscopy to remove the ruptured oviduct.

Future pregnancies

If the fallopian tube has been repaired, then the chances of pregnancy are more than fifty percent. But if one of the uterine tubes is removed, then it is less than fifty percent. So, the chances of successful pregnancies after an operation for ectopic pregnancy are dependent upon the state of the fallopian tubes.

Dr. Stephen R. Quake of Stanford University and a team of other researchers found that taking the blood samples from a pregnant woman may be an affective way to test for Down’s Syndrome. While only a small group of 18 woman participated in this study, if the method is approved and successful, this would be an alternative to the current, more risky procedures that test for Down’s Syndrome in an unborn baby. Amniocentesis, one of the most popular prenatal testing methods for Down’s Syndrome, has far more risks associated with it.

This test was just published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Benefits of this new method include the ability to test much earlier in pregnancy as well as the ability to return results in days rather than two to three weeks.

The prenatal blood test works because of tiny amounts of fetal DNA that circulate in a mother’s bloodstream. The test is being patented by Stanford University and companies are currently negotiating the rights to this test. Edwards syndrome and Patau syndrome are two other conditions that this test can detect.

Down’s Syndrome occurs when a child has three copies of Chromosome 21 rather than two. The extra copy of the chromosome results in mental retardation.
